Tree Service at Lake Hamilton, AR
Lakefront tree removal, trimming, stump grinding, and 24/7 storm cleanup for shoreline homes around Lake Hamilton.
Lakefront Tree Care, Done Right
Lake Hamilton is one big slope down to the water — 7,000 acres of shoreline lined with pines and hardwoods growing on steep banks, leaning over docks, and crowding the decks and boathouses that make a lakefront home worth it. That terrain is exactly where most tree companies struggle and where we’ve spent 24 years working. Plyler’s Tree Service handles removals, trimming, view thinning, stump grinding, and storm cleanup for shoreline properties across the Lake Hamilton and Hot Springs area — rigging trees down in pieces so nothing touches your dock or the water. Licensed, insured, every estimate free, and we clean up before we leave.

More About Storm Work →Why Lakefront Work Is Different
A tree on a flat city lot and a tree hanging over your boat slip are two completely different jobs.
Steep-Bank & Over-Water Removals
Most Lake Hamilton trees sit on a slope dropping straight to the water. We rig and lower them in sections with ropes instead of felling — nothing crashes onto your dock or into the lake.
Dock, Boathouse & Seawall Protection
Boathouses, decks, retaining walls, and seawalls are the expensive part of a lakefront lot. We set rigging and ground protection so the structures come through the job untouched.
Tight-Access Lots
Long driveways, gated entries, and narrow side yards are the norm on the lake. We know how to get equipment in — or work by rope and hand when a bucket truck can’t reach the back of the property.
Lake-View Thinning
Want to open the water view without clear-cutting? We do proper crown thinning and canopy raising — never topping — so you keep healthy trees and gain the view.
Wind & Storm Exposure
Trees on open water take the full force of a storm. We spot the leaners and weak unions that fail first and take them down before the next front rolls through.
Pine & Hardwood Know-How
Loblolly and shortleaf pines, water oaks, and sweetgums all behave differently on a slope. Twenty-four years in this area means we’ve handled every one of them on lakefront ground.
What Lake-Area Homeowners Say
Real 5-star Google reviews from folks across Clark County and southwest Arkansas.
One of the best tree removal services in Clark County by far. Very reliable, fair priced, and not trying to take unnecessary money like most try to throw in there. They clean up the area awesome and never leave your yard or property a mess.
I had some trees removed — close to a power line, the house, and the edge of the driveway. Did an amazing job. He was the cheapest and had the equipment to get it all done, cleanup and everything.
Plyler's removed several trees for us. The attention to detail and knowledge of tree removal was unmatched. They finished ahead of schedule and right on budget. I've recommended them to family and friends.
Tree Work Around Lake Hamilton
We cover the whole lake — every cove, both shores, and the neighborhoods feeding into it.
Highway 7 South & the Lake Hamilton School Area
The neighborhoods off Highway 7 South toward the school are full of established lots with tall pines close to the houses. We handle removals, storm work, and pruning for clearance off roofs and power drops here regularly.
Pearcy & the West Shore
Out toward Pearcy and the west side of the lake, properties get larger and more wooded. We clear hazard trees on acreage, work fence lines, and handle the long-haul rural removals where the timber runs back from the water.
The Coves Off Highway 290 & 270
The cove neighborhoods and resort properties off Highways 290 and 270 are tight, sloped, and full of mature hardwoods leaning over decks and boat slips. This is rope-and-rigging country, and it’s what we do best.
Royal & the South End
Toward Royal and the south end near Carpenter Dam, it’s classic Ouachita lake country — steep banks, big pines, and storm-exposed shoreline. We cover all of it, same-day for emergencies.
Serving Lake Hamilton & the Hot Springs Area
Based in Arkadelphia and covering the lake, Hot Springs, and the towns all around it.
Lake Hamilton Tree Service — Questions
Answers to what shoreline homeowners ask us most.
Can you remove a tree right at the water’s edge on a steep bank?
Yes — that’s the bulk of our Lake Hamilton work. Instead of felling, we climb and rig the tree, then lower it piece by piece with ropes so nothing drops onto your dock, deck, or into the lake. Steep slopes and tight banks are routine for us.
Will my dock, boathouse, and seawall be protected during the work?
Always. Those structures are the costly part of a lakefront property, so we set our rigging and ground protection around them before a saw ever starts. We lower limbs and logs in controlled sections rather than dropping them, and we walk the property with you afterward to confirm everything came through clean.
Do I need a permit to remove a tree on my Lake Hamilton shoreline?
Lake Hamilton’s shoreline is managed by Entergy Arkansas under its federal (FERC) license, so trees within the flowage easement near the water can require Entergy review, while trees higher up on your own property usually don’t need a city permit. It varies by lot. When we come out for your free estimate, we’ll help you figure out exactly what applies before any work begins.
Can you open up my lake view without killing the trees?
Yes. We do proper crown thinning and canopy raising — selectively removing limbs and lifting the canopy — so you get a clear water view while the trees stay healthy. We never top trees; topping ruins the structure and the look, and the regrowth just blocks the view again in a couple of years.
How fast can you get out after a storm on the lake?
We answer emergency calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and we cover the Lake Hamilton and Hot Springs area. When wind comes across the open water and drops a tree on a house or blocks a drive, call us right away — we’ll get a crew headed your way.
